- SPECKLE PARK is a beef breed of medium size that converts forage very well into beef and has a high dressing out percentage.
- SPECKLE PARK has established a reputation as a carcass breed producing quality carcasses with marbling but without a thick layer of outer fat cover.
- SPECKLE PARK rarely experiences difficulties in calving; almost all Speckle Park cows and heifers calve unassisted. Calves are approximately 30-40 KGs. and are very vigorous at birth. Most newborn are up and sucking in minutes.
- SPECKLE PARK cows are very maternal when it comes to caring for their young. They have good udders with correct teat shape and length supplying their young with ample milk.
- SPECKLE PARK cattle are very fertile. Females cycle early and are easy to breed.
- SPECKLE PARK is a naturally polled breed, thus saving the extra time, hardship and expense of dehorning.
- SPECKLE PARK are very docile animals. Their gentle disposition makes them a pleasure to work with.
- SPECKLE PARK cattle are hardy and healthy and can withstand the harshest of conditions.

The SPECKLE PARK cattle breed is a beef breed of medium size that converts forage very well into beef and has a high dressing out percentage. SPECKLE PARK has established a reputation as a carcass breed, which consistently produces high quality, tasty and tender beef. The breed has the characteristic of consistently producing quality carcasses with marbling but without a thick layer of outer fat cover. In July 2010 at the Calgary Stampede Steer Carcass competition with a total of 48 entries from various breeds , Speckle Park claimed the top 4 positions and also occupied 6 places in the top 10 (see Home page). The breed have also won the “All Breed Steak Challenge” and the “Beef Quality Award”, in earlier years. This breed is naturally polled, docile and noted for ease of calving. The preferred breed characteristic colour and patterns or variations thereof, are THE CLASSIC, THE LEOPARD and THE POINTED WHITE. THE CLASSIC speckle pattern is black sides, a white top line and underline, a black or black frosted face and speckled rear quarters. THE LEOPARD pattern has spotted sides. THE POINTED WHITE has black ears, pigmented skin around the eyes, and black nose, feet and hooves.
